A Vision for Every Stage in Life |
From the young to the elderly, deteriorating vision is something for all of us to consider. Children as young as 3-years-old may require corrective lenses, so eyewear manufacturers must accommodate for these needs with lightweight frames, kid-friendly aesthetics and safety-conscious designs. Meanwhile, the growing elderly population is driving demand for prescription reading glasses as that market segment continues to expand. Come to see for yourself how industry producers are tackling eyewear needs across the entire age spectrum! |

For many years, the regional optics industry flourished in a favourable business climate as the Asia-Pacific region enjoyed strong, continuous economic growth. However, this scenario is likely to change as we now see early signs of an economic downturn in this part of the world. What will be the impact on the optics industry? How will manufacturers adapt to the economy? What can we learn from Europe and South America, two markets that have already been forced to adapt to weakening economies? Gianni Cossar from GfK, a leading global market research expert will provide insight into the future of the industry and challenges faced by producers in the Asia-Pacific region. |
